My wife and I want to thank everyone who assisted us in purchasing the G8. The car is for my wife and she loves this car. We also purchased a Solstice GXP from Liberty Pontiac back in September, so obviously they are doing something right for us to purchase 2 cars from them in less than a year! When the Solstice Coupe comes out they will see us again! -William D.
Here's How They Stretch Summer Dollars - Faith, Family, & Freedom Concert ticket winners
- The Boley house hold has made a plan for this summers activities.... We have a 14 year old daughter and she of course wants to do everything under the sun. Remember when you were a kid and you would leave the house in the morning and not come home until supper. Supper was a time to catch up on everyones day and not just to eat. Those days have been lost with this generation so we have decided to bring them back to our family. If it's free it's me..... My husband just lost his job, everything happens for a reason. We have turned off the the computer and TV and really focused on doing things as a family. We go for walks and bike rides in the evening and communicate to each other without calling each other on the cell phone, texting or emailing. As my daughter states we are now living back in the old days. It has brought us closer and we look forward to exploring museums in the area, attending church functions, going to the lake to swim and just being together. It's amazing when half your income is taken away how simple you can make your life. In my opinion it should always be that way. - Shana Boley
- 1)saving energy by using home fans and less air conditioner 2)drive within the speed limits to save on gas 3)using my vehicle when it is necessary and doing more walking when possible for better health 4)before taking long trips making sure that my vehicle is in pristeen condition. - Horace Kersey
- A few things I'm doing to save money is clipping and using coupons at the grocery store. I am trying to combine as my trips in the car to save on gas. I am including my children on the budgeting for the gas & groceries, to show how much we have to spend on the essentials. We are also sharing our vacation at the beach with another family to cut down on the cost. - Laura Moody
- Combining trips to the store, cleaners etc. Using one car to the office, drop off one of us and the other parks where parking is free or the lowest. Eating out less often. A/C @74
instead of 72. - Joseph Stefan

Tips from Rocky - Improve Your Gas Mileage
We're all reeling from the recent spike in gas prices. With the prices at the pump likely to rise, it's time to pay attention to our vehicle and maximize our behaviors to maximize our fuel economy. Here are just a few tips to keep in mind to squeeze out the best mileage from every drop:
- Drive sensibly. Avoid aggressive driving, speeding, rapid acceleration, and fast braking.
- Lighten the load. Remove all excess weight from your trunk.
- Idle Cars are the Devil's Workshop. Try not to idle unnecessarily. When you idle you get 0 MPG!
- Use Cruise. Using your cruise control when you can keeps your speed constant and in most cases saves gas.
- Pump 'em Up. Inflate your tires to the proper pressure. This helps save on tire wear, too!
- Stay In Tune. Keep your engine properly tuned to be sure everything is working in tip top shape. A faulty oxygen sensor, for example, can rob you of up to 40% of your MPG!
- Breathe Well. Check and replace air filters at recommended intervals. A clogged filter causes excess engine wear and damage. The extra work increases your gas mileage.
- Make the Grade. Always use the proper grade of motor oil for your season and vehicle. "Energy Conserving" motor oil contains additives to reduce friction, thereby increasing gas mileage. Check your owner's manual, or ask your service advisor.
- Let the Wind Blow Through Your Hair...Or Not. Open windows at speeds below 40 miles per hour. Over that, the wind creates too much drag and it is more fuel efficient to use the A/C.
- Time the Pump. Fill up well in advance of a holiday. Also, visit the gas station in the early morning before hot temperatures cause excessive evaporation.

Tips from Rocky- Tire Maintenance Will Save You Money and Time
"Tire manufacturer Michelin North America has announced that due to the increase in raw material, energy and transportation costs, it is increasing prices by 6% to 36% on Michelin, BFGoodrich and Kleber brand tires and tubes sold in the US and Canada, effective July 1, 2008."
Higher oil prices mean not only higher gas prices, but increased costs on all products associated with petroleum manufacturing. That means more out of the pocketbook for us all. There are steps we take; however, to increase tire wear and get the best value from our investment.
- Use the right tires for your vehicle and road conditions.
- Check tire pressure on a monthly basis, using a good quality tire gauge. (Stop by Liberty Pontiac GMC Truck Service Dept. for your FREE Tire Pressure Check)
- Have tires rotated and aligned according to manufacturer recommendations. (Check your Owner's Manual, or do what I do - Call George and Rob!!)
- Have your vehicle's tires balanced if you feel abnormal vibration.
- Monitor tread wear and replace tires when tire tread is worn out.
- Visually check treads for foreign objects and tires for rips and tears.
For more information on Tire Safety, check out our GM Goodwrench Service Link or Tire Care Video.
And, this week, Rocky is offering A 4-Wheel Alignment with Tire Rotation for $69.95 - Make your appointment online or Call George or Rob at 866-676-5590. Hurry!! Schedule your appointment by 6/9/08 to get your savings.

Winners for the Queen's Cup Steeplechase 2008 Tickets
"GMC and horses go together because GMC Trucks are like a wild stallion!" - Ben Huffman
"Why Scott McCorkle's Liberty Pontiac GMC and horses go together: Because Rocky and his service team keep my wife's 2005 Yukon XL in top shape to tailgate and haul all my daughter's horse tack to 8-10 shows per year. We are proud to have your decal and license plate displayed on our vehicle and to tell everybody about the excellent service we receive."- Jeff Buchanan
"They have great power and longevity."- Betty Simpson
"When you ride a horse you feel free and in command just as you do when you drive the new line of GMC trucks with their bold lines, impressive looks, and impressive horse power. When you drive the GMC you feel the same freedom as you do on the horse. Galloping up the road on the horse you can experience nature in its purest form just like you feel in the GMC with the horses under the hood and the roar of the motor reminding you of an earlier time in history when the horse and man were one..." - Tom Nix
"GMC and horses go together without a doubt. I own a small horse farm and would not be able to do half of what I do without my GMC Duramax truck. I have always had a GMC truck, but since I went into the horse business, there is nothing better to haul and work with than the Duramax. Horses are big, beautiful animals and there is nothing like a GMC to manage their needs." - Ruth Thompson
Thanks to all those who entered our email contest. We appreciate the opportunity to serve your automotive needs! To let us know how we can serve you better, or to make an appointment, visit us at ClickLiberty.com. Or call 866.676.5559.
