Liberty Pontiac GMC Truck is proud to announce our very own “homegrown” GM World Class Technician. Tim Ulrich, Shop Foreman here at Liberty, recently earned this prestigious title. Of approximately 72,000 service technicians nationally, Tim is one of 192 mechanics in the Southeast region to accomplish this certification, and one of 33 in North Carolina. All GM Service technicians complete training to earn the title of Mr. Goodwrench. Tim has reached an even higher level of expertise by completing all 9 GM Master Technician Certifications in the Mechanical area, as well as accompanying ASE Certifications. With over 20 years in the automotive business, and 10 at Liberty, Tim is a great asset to Liberty’s service department. One of his teammates, technician John Saj, said one of Tim’s greatest strengths is “his willingness to help both his co-workers and customers, expecting nothing in return.” Congratulations, Tim!

...you no longer receive a window sticker to let you know when your next inspection is due?
...you will no longer be able to renew your registration until your vehicle passes its safety and/or emissions inspection?
...you may have your vehicle inspected up to 90 days prior to your annual vehicle registration due date, but it must be inspected no later than the last day of the month your vehicle registration expires?

Tax Deduction for Small Business Owner's Vehicle Purchase
For Small Business Owners:
The 2008 Economic Stimulus Act may just stimulate your decision to place a new vehicle into service before the year is out. The 2008 Economic Stimulus Act increases the limits of a 179 deduction for eligible new truck purchases placed in service by December 31,2008. Which means, you can now receive a $25,000 deduction on any new 2008 or 2009 GMC Acadia, Yukon, Yukon XL, Envoy Denali, Sierra Crew Cab (box length less than 6 feet), Sierra Extended Cab (box length less than 6 feet).
Bonus Depreciation: You may be able to take an additional first year special depreciation allowance on certain eligible purchases. This allowance is an additional deduction of 50% of the property's depreciable basis.
