The accolade is designed to recognize manuafacturers for superior performance in customer retention and is given on the basis of customers returning to buy another vehicle of the same model, make or manufacturer. The Solstice victory was one of seven GM trophies, including the Overall Manuafacturer prize given to General Motors.
