Charlotte’s Liberty Buick GMC Offers Year-End Clearance Sale - Buick Enclave, GMC Yukon & More!

Buyers Advised to Act Soon to Get Their Own 2017-2018 Deals

Luxury vehicles have taken on a new persona, as buyers are opting out of sedans and coupes and choosing pickups and SUVs instead. Liberty Buick GMC has answered customer demand for high-end vehicles with an inventory that includes both auto makers’ top trim levels and additional upgrades. Brand new 2019 models have been rolling in, but smart buyers will save on 2018 and 2017 luxury models now, as our year-end clearance sale gives you more for your money.

“According to research firm J.D. Power and Associates, $50,000 is the slightly blurry line between mainstream and luxury in today's auto market,” reports CNBC.

What will $50,000 get you at Liberty Buick GMC? The 2019 Buick Enclave Avenir is a mid-sized SUV that comes with an impressive standard package including three-row, leather seating with heated driver and front passenger seats; wood-toned accents throughout the cabin; power moonroof with rear fixed skylight; modern amenities like wireless charging, a Bose performance-enhanced premium 10-speaker system; rear park assist; remote start; and a hands-free liftgate; plus safety measures including front and rear parking assist, lane change and departure alerts, and seven airbag system. The Enclave gets an estimated 26 MPG highway, 18 MPG city. The 2019 Enclave Premium is available as an AWD with similar options.

“The Avenir promises tech, safety and comfort features on par with what's offered in the best luxury crossovers,” writes Edmunds.

U.S. News & World Report ranks the 2019 Buick Enclave second in midsized SUVs, third in SUVs with three rows, and fifth in crossover SUVs, making it a sound investment.

“Its smooth performance and genteel interior are examples of the Enclave' high levels of refinement, and the current generation earns near-perfect predicted reliability scores,” they write.

The Enclave also boasts one of Buick’s better kept secrets — a balance of class and driveability.

“In this manner, it performs exceptionally well, aided by a V6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission that are respectably powerful and polished in most situations, “ U.S. News & World Report writes. “The 310-horsepower setup provides sufficient acceleration off the line and on the highway.”

With nearly $8,000 off 2018 Buick models including the Enclave, it’s a perfect time to buy in to the luxury category, if you haven’t before. You will find the 2018 Buick Enclave, LaCrosse, and TourX in limited quantities and priced from $31,497 to $47,662 available now.

Liberty Buick GMC Charlotte Year End Clearance
When it comes to trucks, GM is hard to beat. Brand new, top-of-the-line models are arriving at the Liberty Buick GMC lot including a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD Crew Cab Long Box 4-Wheel Drive Denali. This beautiful Ebony Twilight Metallic truck runs on a Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine and comes loaded with safety, comfort, and features. It has lane departure warning, forward collision alert, and front and rear parking assist, an EZ-Lift and Lower tailgate, sunroof, all weather floor mats, built-in WiFi, keyless entry, remote start, and heated leather seats.

“Even if you ignore unique-to-truck features like those off-road tires, spray-in bedliners and cargo tie-downs, a luxury shopper will find virtually all the features of a high-line sedan now offered on top-end pickups,” writes CNBC.

With even more cabin space, the 2019 GMC Yukon XL is available with 4WD and the Denali trim package and priced about $3,500 less than MSPR at $77,088 or below. The Yukon XL is, as its name would imply, a larger version of the Yukon with 20 inches more length and a 14-inch wider wheelbase. These specs give the XL a whopping 39.3 cubic feet of cargo volume — more than twice that of the Yukon’s 15.3 cubic feet.

“As capable as they are handsome, the Yukon and the stretched Yukon XL are multitasking machines,” writes Car & Driver. “If your idea of a good time includes hauling the family up a mountain while towing a travel trailer, there are few alternatives to the Yukon.”

We have some great savings available on the 2018 Yukon 4WD Denali and Yukon XL 4WD Denali, as well as the 2018 Yukon 2WD XL Denali, which also are eligible for GMC Special Offers. Prices range from $57,433 to $73,633.

Year-end sales provide an excellent opportunity to get the luxury you want at a price that leaves more money in your pocket. Liberty Buick GMC also offers great pricing on 2018 GMC models including the Acadia, Canyon, Sierra 1500, and Terrain. Our inventory is changing rapidly, so plan to make your purchase soon.

Browse our inventory online at clickliberty.com, call us at 704.708.8000, or — better yet — come test drive to your heart’s content at our dealership located at 9028 E. 2018 Buick Regal TourX: The Adventure Wagon You Didn't See Coming

What the world needs now is another wagon, and Buick is happy to oblige. With the launch of the Regal TourX in 2018, the comfortable car maker brought about an all-wheel drive contender designed more for the outdoor adventurer than the highway slow lane.

Want to hit the bike trails but not ready to forgo your Frappuccino? The TourX is for you. Going skiing in the morning then picking up friends for après-ski at the lodge? The TourX is for you. Taking your father-in-law skeet-shooting in the afternoon and then the whole family out to dinner in the evening? The TourX is for you.

"It's close, but the Regal provides most of the capability of the Outback, in a more attractive and more efficient package, and it's nicer to drive," writes MotorTrend.

It had seemed that Subaru had cornered the sport-wagon market. The Outback became ubiquitous in every mountain town, and a Forester redesign followed its success. Retirees and soccer moms rejoiced, and older Subarus were passed down amongst the generations. The Crosstrek reclaimed some much-needed cool points, and the Ascent cruised right up to (and perhaps a bit over) the line across which a crossover crosses into being a SUV. However, the exclusively all-wheel-drive maker also climbed into a higher price bracket - one in which buyers have come to expect a little more luxe. Starting prices for Subaru's wagon fleet are $21,895 (Crosstrek), $22,795 (Forester), $26,345 (Outback) and $31,955 (Ascent). A topped-out Outback Touring with heated leather seats and Apple CarPlay comes in around $39,000.

The Regal TourX - designed to directly compete with the Outback given slightly more headroom (front and back) and cargo room (with seats folded flat) - comes in three trim packages. The top level Essence starts at $35,070 with heated leather seats and Apple CarPlay plus an available Bose premium 8-speaker system, panoramic moonroof, remote vehicle starter system, infotainment package, leather seats, and a slew of safety features for closer to $41,000. The base line TourX starts at $29,070, and the Preferred model starts at $32,670. Gas mileage is estimated at 21 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway.

Unfortunately, no trim package offers the wood-paneled doors of Buick's last wagon - the Roadmaster Estate, an 18-foot-long, V8 last made 22 years ago. For what it's worth though, the TourX is seven inches longer than the Subaru Outback.

Like Subarus, the TourX comes with body cladding and a raised suspension - 5.7 inches of clearance vs. 8.7 on the Outback. Engine models can vary, with the standard Outback running a 2.5-liter flat-four with 175 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque and the Outback Touring built on a 3.6-liter flat-six with 256 hp and 247-lb of torque. Buick's TourX powertrain is a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 250 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque on an eight-speed auto.

"Its 2.0-liter engine and eight-speed auto combination is a good one; the turbocharged four-cylinder is gutsy and powerful while still managing to be smooth and quiet," writes MotorTrend. "The Regal's transmission doesn't make any pretense of being sporty, but it shifts smartly and isn't afraid to kick down a gear or two if need be."

Translation? The TourX is less aggressive but no less capable. MotorTrend clocked the TourX doing 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds, taking the quarter mile in 14.7 seconds at 94.7 mph, and running a figure-eight test lap in 26.2 seconds.

"The Regal TourX rides and handles well, too," writes MotorTrend. "The American wagon's suspension is soft and compliant like the Subaru's but without the Outback's body roll through corners. Steering is nice, too-light yet responsive."

Controls are designed to make the driving/adventuring experience comfortable and easy. The ride is quiet. There are switches in the cargo area to automatically fold down rear seats and tie-downs that slide on a track built into the load floor. Standard integrated aluminum roof rails and optional dealer-installed accessory cargo cross bars make carrying gear easy. (Liberty Buick GMC is providing cargo cross bars on all its in-stock TourX models.) Buick has indicated the TourX can tow up to 1,000 lbs.

"This Buick is a solid vehicle," writes Kristen Lee of Jalopnik. "Yes, the interior isn't draped in buttery-soft leather and isn't sound-proofed to the point where you wouldn't hear a bomb go off in the near vicinity, but it feels well-built, is comfortable and won't make you feel guilty for throwing a muddy mountain bike or a couple of slobbery dogs in the back. Because that's what it's for."

The Buick Regal TourX is a car that we here at Liberty Buick GMC were excited to see launched and we specifically chose to bring several of to our lot - just about one in every color. While the Outback paint choices include Cinnamon Brown and Wilderness Green, the TourX turns heads in Sport RedSmoked Pearl Metallic, and Dark Moon Blue Metallic.

Curious about the Regal but not quite drawn to what amounts to a wagon? Check out the Buick Regal Sportback.

"The new Buick Regal Sportback is a car that defies expectations," writes Car & Driver. "It looks like a stylish sedan, but it's actually a hatchback with an SUV-rivaling amount of cargo space. It wears the all-American Buick badge, yet it's based on the Europe-market Opel Insignia."

Also part of the Regal line is the GS, which offers massaging front seats and interactive drive control settings on a V6 engine with 310 hp.

Manufacturer offers on the Regal include an up to $1,500 cash allowance when you finance through GM. This offer is available through Sept. 4, 2018.

Why not come test drive a Regal? It's a great time to visit the dealership. The Carolina Panthers have named Buick/GMC the team's official cars and trucks, and Liberty Buick GMC is participating in the Ultimate Tailgate Giveaway Sweepstakes.

Whether you’re tailgating or staying home to watch the game, there’s little better than chips and dip as an easy snack. We like to bring team colors into the kitchen, which is why this black bean dip served with blue corn chips is perfect for Carolina Panthers’ game days.

Black and Blue Bean Dip
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

2 small yellow onions, chopped

4 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped into large chunks

1-2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and chopped*

2 (15.5 ounce) cans black beans, rinsed and drained

1-1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice, from one lime, plus more if desired

3 tablespoons water

1/4 cup fresh chopped cilantro, plus more for garnish (optional)

Heat olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and jalapeño peppers. If you are wary of too much spice from the jalapeños, start with only one, and unless you’re really looking for some kick, leave out the seeds. Stirring occasionally, cook the onions, garlic, and jalapeño about 10 minutes or until very soft. Do not brown.

Transfer the cooked onion mixture to a blender or food processor and add the black beans, salt, cumin, lime juice, water, and cilantro. Blend until smooth, stopping to stir if necessary. If the dip is too thick, add more water or lime juice, little by little, to thin it out. Adjust seasoning to taste. Serve warm, cold, or room temperature with blue corn tortilla chips.
