Charlotte: It’s Time For a Summer Road Trip

The sun is out, the flowers have bloomed, and the trees are green. It’s summer in the South, and it couldn’t be more beautiful outside. What better way to celebrate an end to the rainy season than by taking a summer road trip. The best thing about packing the family up and heading out is having a great destination, as well as a great vehicle getting you there. Here are a few places worth a drive, and a few vehicles worth driving:

In the mood for rolling hills, stunning mountains, and great food? Asheville is your place. This mountain town has it all. Great restaurants and great nightlife. And for a pleasant drive, you need something stylish and comfortable. Something like the 2016 Buick Encore. This sleek SUV has room for the entire family. And enough trunk space to fit everyone’s suitcases. Plus the 4G LTE connectivity and IntelliLink interface to Bose noise cancelation keep everybody happy.

Looking for something with a little more scenery? Check out the Appalachian Forests. These beautiful mountainscapes stretch across three states! I recommend going in mid to late June when the rhododendrons are in bloom. I also suggest driving a car with the top down, so you don’t miss a thing. The 2016 Buick Cascada is perfect for this trip. It’s fast, luxurious, and there is no better feeling than zigzagging through the forest with sun shining and the wind through your hair.

But what is summer without a quick beach trip? Only two hours from Raleigh, Wrightsville beach is family-friendly with plenty of good eats and oceanic views. For this trip you might need something a little bigger, such as the 2016 GMC Terrain. The Terrain perfectly fits everyone comfortably, leaving room for those boogie boards and extra beach supplies. Go with the Denali version and get plenty of upgrades like a colorful touchscreen interface and a powerful V-6 engine.

Enjoy your summer destination with the vehicle that will make everyone comfortable and happy. Bon voyage!
